If you would like to be a part of this event in 2024, we are trying to once again attract YOGs from a wide variety of fields and would love to hear from you if you think you might be able to help us. The event next year, for our Year 10 students, will be on Wednesday 28 February from 8.30am-10.00am. YOG Speed Careering 2023
On Wednesday 1 March 2023, our Year 10 and 12 students had the opportunity to talk to Yarra Old Grammarians and to inquire about the subjects and careers they may be thinking of going into.
The morning was a wonderful opportunity for students to gain a further understanding of how the final years of their schooling will play out, tertiary studies to follow, and pathways into certain areas.
Having already participated in Speed Careering two years ago, the Year 12s had two 15 minute sessions with their preferred YOGs. The Year 10s had the opportunity to meet with a variety of YOGs over four 15 minute sessions.
We received very positive feedback from the students as they found these discussions gave them insight for both their professional and personal objectives in the coming years.
The dedication these YOG's show by coming back into Yarra and passing on their wisdom to future generations is greatly appreciated. We would like to thank the YOGs for their commitment to the School spirit and community.
